About Old Farm


Old Farm is a former farm Steading sleeping up to 8 people over two floors.  A fantastic holiday cottage close to the pretty village of Lucker and just minutes away from Bamburgh.  


Old Farm is also our family holiday home, with tasteful interiors and all the comforts of we would expect, including Sky Stream, free Wi-Fi throughout, a phone and tablet charging station, lots of books to read, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker.  The large chest in the lounge contains games that include Scrabble, Cluedo and Monopoly.  It has a particularly nice vaulted sitting room with doors opening onto the garden and the fields beyond.


The accommodation consists of: -


  • Four luxurious bedrooms 

  • A fully equipped kitchen including American fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, and double oven, with marble worktops

  • A living room with a cozy stove and Sky Stream TV

  • Three luxurious travertine bathrooms with heated floors

  • A generous dining room, comfortable enough to use for family games, reading and other activities

  • A lawned garden area with outdoor seating and a BBQ

From Old Farm Cottage you can access the best of Northumberland, the ancient land north of the Humber of which Bamburgh was once the capital.


Northumberland is home to mile upon mile of soft golden sands, punctuate d by ancient castles and fortifications. The landscape resonates with drama, history, and intrigue and much of it is designated an Area of Outstanding Natura l Beauty.


The County unfolds from the historic border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, down along the coast and through the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills to Newcastle and Hadrian’s Wall.


There are vast sandy beaches, beautiful fishing villages, pretty market towns, isolated islands, stunning castles, wild moorland and sweeping hills to name a few. And it's all within a short drive of Old Farm and Bamburgh - The property comes with an extensive guide book to the area.
